Ive got a Eddy Performer and I just put a new grommett and PCV valve in it. Problem is it wont stay all the way in. It is very tight and seems to work its way back out about 1/2 way with the head OFF the car. At this point its feels a bit wiggly (only 1/2 way in) Can I put sealant or glue on the valve so that it sticks to the grommet so it wont work its way out???

Some may say don't use anything on it but I put some black rtv around mine (light coat) and took out the mesh screen.

are you using motorcraft parts? people have complained of aftermarket stuff not quite seating and staying seated correctly, which equals it falling out and a vac leak.

good luck.

for the cost of a grommet, i might get a motorcraft to be sure.

if not, i suppose JR's idea with the RTV would work (or perhaps wrap high temp tape around the valve body, so it is a tighter fit).

good luck.

I havent found a place yet (online or local) that sells the motorcraft grommet. The problem is that it seems to be too tight at the bottom, and squeezes the PCV valve 1/2 way out.
