Ok guys i'm getting ready to change the fuel filter and also the pcv valves on my 96 gt. I purchased the parts from autozone and they both don't look right. The fuel filter is fat and short, don't know it if will fit in the same holder for the old filter. The pcv valves have connections for two hoses on them that are each a quarter of the size of the hoses that are on the original pcv valves. Any ideas guys? THanks

I'm not positive but I think they're wrong. I know I had to get the PCV and fuel filter from Parts America. The stupid autozone computer even had the wrong plug information. The plugs were full threaded (?). The guy was like it has to be right because its in the computer. Well dufus, your computer is wrong.

I'd go to a parts house (carquest) etc....

As far as the 2 places for hoses go, there PCV valve should come with a small lip (for lack of a better word) to put the plug into the top hose, and make it mout.

i crossed the numbers and they seem to be correct for a 96 GT and the other guy is right on the pcv , its a universal replacement basically so it should have a small plastic piece the plugs the top hole up

Even the replacement ford PCV valve looks exactly the same as the autozone one. I thought the same and got one from ford. It looks different because its a generic replacement for several others. I also didn't use the fuel filter because it looked cheap and so I ordered a ford replacement also.
