People running side-exhaust

those are nice but really expensive...great idea though

i hope i won't need to buy those when i get around to installing my side exhaust. I have full length kenny brown subframes and would hate to have to either buy those or ditch the subframes.

i hope turbogt comes in and answers this.

Well.. My setup is kind of unique because it's custom after the x.. I had the exhaust shop tuck it super tight to the body, so subs will be a challenge..

I am a welder by trade, so the fab work will be a breeze..

My plan is to buy whatever sub's I plan to run (probably MM) because I believe they need to tie into my future panhard bar? Anyhow, I'll just go about installing them as you would, but I'll have to notch them out around the pipe and then brace them in.. I will probably use a fairly thick flatbar to try to hold some rigidity at the cutout, then make some fore/aft ribs that are cut around the pipe.. I'm not sure if you can picture this the way it is in my mind, lol.. This should be one of my summer projects, but I don't have a welder at my house..

I had to do something like this to clear the brace that goes across and connects the subframe connectors that the Torque arm mounts to.

Maximum gives you "Humps" so the exhaust pipe can tuck up but Griggs dosen't. So My exhaust guy made something like these to tuck it up close.
