You can use a handheld programmer to turn off the O2 sensors. It will also pull codes, advance timing, enable the hidden Mustang VTEC feature, adjust speedo for gears, firm up shifting of automatic transmission, and help you learn a whole lot more about your engine than you know now.

MIL eliminators but many people have said they do not always work...

The Predator does SO much, if you can swing one it is worth it.

If the CEL is from the O2 sensors you can disregard it. IF that is what is causing it...

You should have the codes pulled.

Get the codes pulled. no need in guessing until then since it could be a multitude of things. Any reason you can't go to autozone and get them pulled for free?

Yeah you can only use the programmer to turn off the rears. I have the same problem with my LT's. Its the front 02 sensors that are not heating up properly because they are located further from the engine now. I have had the problem for a few weeks now, and Im just gonna take care of it with a dynotune. Its the only real thing you can do if its a problem such as this. But yeah get the codes pulled first. I went to Autozone and had 2 trouble codes,
P0135 AND P1131. Both for the front 02 sensor, on bank one. Both for lack of "Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor."

So how do u take care of this then other then dyno tune??? I mean there has been millions of 4.6 GT out there with LT. someone has got to have proven fix!!!

Jstreet, i can't go to autozone, because there ain't one near by my house. closest is like 50 miles away, and i had probrem with Aligment, and can't drive car far yet

Well even though it is probably o2 related, without knowing which code it is there is no way of telling you how to fix it. So far everyone is just guessing, but the most likely things are a wiring problem, exhuast leak upstream of the front o2, or your mils aren't working. As far as the cooling off problem with long tubes, this is more prevelant with uncoated headers, and will also cause idle problems. The code associated with it will be a slow response rate code.
when you get the codes read let us know.

yup, it could be a ton of things. My CEL came on about a week after, but I had also installed a O/R X-pipe with no MIL Elims. When I had my car dyno tuned they do a header delay for the o2 sensors. You can't turn those off. Get the code pulled!

So i drove my car this morning. Now, my CEL is gone. On OBDII, error code is stored in memory bank, so even tho CEL went out, i can still pull code?

so basically you need MIL's with LT headers even if you have a catted midpipe?

if i get a catted mid, couldn't i just wend in some bungs (if not present) and get some extensions for the rear sensors?

if the fronts toss that code, would heated O2's also solve that problem?
