Easy now, just a little joke about wings. I've said in other posts how much I like your car.

Lol.. It wasn't a dig at you. I know that you know the difference between a functional and non-functional wing.

Luckily, it isn't quite as bad as a high rise on an otherwise stock motor. The entire motor is upgraded ... ignition, headers, etc.

In that case, I might think it's a little overkill but I doubt I'd dislike it.

Yea, do it how you like...its your car and I am sure it will be different and nice, but it might come off as overkill on a othewise slightly modded engine to most of the performance crowd. My 65 is sort of the other way around. Stock but killer performance..GW suspension, 351W dart block stroked to 427. Engine bay looks pretty tame, but peek in the trunk and you will find a 250HP shot of ponies!

That paint job is sweet..I love how your block matches the rest of your car.

Well for just driving they make a Huge blindspot.

But if I see one sticking from a hood,
I would expect to see the rest of the go fast goodies
to go with it.

It's your car.

Here are a couple of pics, the car is undergoing some mods right now. The paint is green candy pearl with chameleon stripes. I am getting a oversized alum radiator from Rons Radiators, putting in a AOD-E with a paddle Shrifter, and metal wheel flares for 275/45/17's on rear and 245's on front. Might also go with a Paxton, how do you like your SC? Is there room for an intercooler?

Well first and foremost IT'S YOUR CAR !!! Do what you like and fk everybody else (imho)

Ok, that being said....
If by highrise you mean a regular dual-quad, dual plane manifold (or even single plain for that matter) it will probably be fine, as long as you run two SMALL carbs like 500cfm and vacuum secondaries. You will most likely make more power under the curve with a good single like a performer rpm, but if bling is your thing, the 8bbl could work ok.

If by highrise you mean a tunnelram, then you might be very disapointed by the performance when street driven. TR's are for high rpm dragrace type performance (3500-9000) would be where most are at home. Even a strong street motor (questionable manners at best) has trouble using a TR, and will almost always make more power under the curve with a traditional single 4bbl manifold. Most the TR cars I have ridden in are lazy below about 4K and most dont start to really march until above that... (the exception being a 498in rat that had a TR designed for a 396 on it, the extra displacement made up the difference in flow).

But even given that, once again... IT'S YOUR CAR !!! Do what youuuuu want, the hell with everybody else.

I am not clear if you mean a tunnel ram or not . I think if you stroke the moter it would help bring the power band into a more usable level. Also if you fill in the plenums and the runners just a bit it would give you a stronger vacuum signal to the carbs, and keep the velocity up.In a way it makes great sense as you have long runners for more torque, and a nice straight shot from the carb to the valve. Of course having two oversized carbs and really large diameter runners and plenums would completely kill any of that extra possible torque. I guess it would take alot of extra effort to make it run right, but I think it would be cool if you did.
