He also explains that in the thread. He put the 3" Flow paths on the car and tuned the car. He then put the 3" Magnaflows on the car and tuned it.

He also states that he spent a full day tuning on the car with the Magnaflows, but in the end, they were down 45rwhp. The next day, he then swapped back over to the flow paths, uploaded the previous tune for the flowpaths, and made the exact same rwhp number as he did before.

All in good time. I need to do that soon though. My camera can't do it so I need to get a buddies for that.

If I put the cutouts before the cats and mufflers (basically open headers) would the inside of the car smell like exhaust? What is a good brand of electronic cutouts?

It will smell like rotten eggs with just an offroad pipe along with the rest of the exhaust. Cutouts will be obnoxiously loud and right under you. I toned down my exhaust note inside my car with dynamat and with LM1's and an offroad H its loud in my car with the windows up. Only thing I have heard about cutouts is they work good for the first few months, adequate for the next, and then they stick and whatnot from then on. Plenty of other places to spend money on your car than with the cutouts.

If you would like for your car to sound like a 1982 Ford farm truck, you should definitely do it.

The "rotten egg" smell is a function of the cats working...

Actually the rotten egg smell is a function of existing cats not working - but they have to be there to make the smell. If he has an off road H pipe then he has deleted the cats and there should be no rotten egg smell. The smell comes from clogged or only partial operable cats.
I have had no bad experiences with QTP cut outs as long as they are installed properly.
It's all personal preference.
