It's really pretty common getting the vent tube kinked or pinched, most are plastic.

Salt and Pepper shakers: I just touched them , and my motor died. Would not start until I jiggled them. These cars are something. Now I carefully take them apart. Spray them with brake cleaner. Separate the prongs a little. Apply die electric grease. Right?

I'd use contact cleaner but brake clean may be ok.

Im scared hope they dont break. Thats all I dont need. When I touched them my idle changed for the better. I will use contact cleaner. I have the recall extensions, and they are the bad ones

Just thinking out loud but can't you remove those and splice the wiring together ?
If you end up having a problem it could be an option

I am not skilled at electrical. I have read on here about people doing that. Makes sense.

The Salt & Pepper shakers (10-pin engine harness connectors)

More often than not, these black and white engine harness connectors (Salt and Pepper shakers) are blamed for a host of EFI problems including surging idle. I've personally seen this...

New adapter as it called. I call it a ring or collar. The old one was glued a few times. It was falling apart on its own. Some of you guys just wish you had a new little blue pip . Put this on quick , and the fit was perfect. The old one had my cap on not correct and I am a little surprised it even ran . Going out for a rip with my wife soon. Oh , did I forget to mention twelve bucks with my points.

Next a couple questions. What do I do about replacing the super thin vacuum lines? If I take out my gas tank whats the chances of things breaking and then I have to wait for parts?

Im recolection there are no thin brittle plastic lines going to the tank. They are just in engine comp and under dash.

I am going to see a guy that I am talking to on Craigslist Saturday to look at some parts he has. Is there any reason for an adjustable fuel regulator on a stock set up. I think I can get it cheap $30. Replacing my fuel pump Saturday because of a constant 33 lbs.and immediate pressure die off. Will it put some pep in it or become a source of problems later. Thanks

I was curious, so I just searched, and many “Samco- are they fake or real” searches came up.
Maybe you got some knock offs?

I googled them and lime green ones came up for almost three hun. They seem really good quality. Like some kind of fire hose stuff. I like them because the color is not bright red. I got them from a guy that had race cars in the back of his house. I think they are old.
