The car sounding like it has a cam at idle is an indication of a vacuum leak .

Change the upper intake gasket the next time you have it off to replace the injectors . The egr has no reason to leak if you didn’t touch it . If it came off with the upper intake then you didn’t disturb it I can’t see it leaking .

Make sure you got the hose for the pcv re connected as well

Now I'm thinking that these four hole injectors probably came off an Explorer or did Mustangs get them also...Says they are for 90 Mustang. My plugs should fit right?? Also the two small vac lines going into the intake. Does it matter which goes where.

Pete, no vacuum source on the EFI Mustangs is going to be ported like a carb car (at least that I know of). So there will be very little difference, if any, where they are hooked up.

Birthday was yesterday 57 , and the wife ordered this...LMR was a day late after promising her it would be here. I like this kit, but a little unsure of the rubber. Pretty flimsy. I'm into the longer shifter handle right now I have a shorty. Put it on tomorrow.

Funny how we are all older. Glad I have this car as a hobby to do. I live with women, so I need to get away sometimes. Taking off my intake again tomorrow so I will be ready for these four hole injectors. I have had questions about my injectors for quite a while. Hoping When I put these in my car will go fast, and smooth. As usual , you plan on a new part doing something. Get it in, and nothing. We will see. They come Tuesday.

The only thing with all this is it goes back to the the discussion of keeping it stock..I used to think "yeh my car is stock" I don't think so.

Nothing done that can’t easily be put back to original if and when you wanted to.

It’s probably a preference thing but I have always seen and used that handle mounted the other way and it was very comfortable and easy to row gears with .

I am going to check into that. I did notice that it's way up front. Feels real good, but not what I'm used to. Right now getting ready to watch Talladega. Not into racing anymore, but this speedway I love.

Yah it's backward, easy fix. I have it on top of a pro 5.0 shifter and it is the best shifter setup I've ever used. Goes good with the porno red too.

I see what you guys say, but the etched side goes only one way. I could/will try to go the other way. I have had trouble in the past with the bolts coming loose

I know what you mean but it is backward the way you have it facing. Just crank the bolts tight ive never had an issue and i shift pretty hard in a stick to put it midly.

Lock washer and locktite, I think maybe blue?
I had the ability to try a few different shifter handles
I'm kinda long in the reach,
I wish I could move the steering wheel a tad closer to me though.

Just make sure you pressurize the fuel system to check for any leaky injectors BEFORE bolting the upper in place.Been there done that with rebuilt injectors that were said to have been tested before shipping, three of the eight leaked out of the small hole on the side of the injector body.
Leaks at the rear are hard to see with the upper in place, hate to see that car burn to the ground.
