Progress Thread Pete is checking out these valve covers

I’ve used it before on a jeep. Poured it into a vacuum line like you’re planning on doing. I don’t know if it did anything but man did it smoke a lot. I had no ill effects but I don’t remember any benefits either. This was many years ago though.

To throw a can in the gas tank and run with it will likely do no harm, that said, a nice long drive at highway speeds with some non ethanol gas will do more good than the occasional drive with seafoam in the tank.
For the record, the shop uses seafoam on occasion for 'cleanup' in newer cars.

I've run seafoam in all my toys for years and always have had great results. I've only ran it via vacuum once on a 90 lx I had and the thing smoked bad for about ten minutes but seemed to run smoother afterwards. My atvs and sport bike as well as the lawnmower see some once in a while as well.

Do you guys have any thoughts, or feelings about the need to rebuild fuel injectors. I am getting the pintels , caps , and filter baskets off E Bay. What can I expect for the condition of these old injectors. Who has done them, and what was their feelings on the finished job. When I have the injectors out if I power them up with twelve volts and they fire does that mean the are good. Ready to pull the intake off, and clean / paint valve covers with a grey engine paint.

None of you guys rebuild your injectors..I would think that they leak over time
I’ve pulled injectors out with 150k plus miles on them that were fine . Send them to Eric Derr . Let him flow , clean, and change the baskets and screens for 75 bucks he charges . You’ll know they are balanced then . He did my Holley 120lb injectors in my car . Was pleasure to deal with

Need the grey that Mike 5L5 used on his spindles. Painting my valve covers, and I don't want to go overboard. I figure a nice grey, and I am painting my manifold that Alumafinish. Taking the top off to do the injectors this week. Lots of pictures coming it's been a while for pics. Thanks Mike

Scares the crap out of me doing this stuff hope I don't break anything. Old injectors were dirty, and crusty

Soaked in paint thinner, and tooth brush. New caps, filters , pintels. The old filters were beat up .Getting ready to paint my valve covers New Ford Blue. Going to be a busy weekend. I have not worked on this car in a while. I think my intake was leaking. The two back bolts were loose. Should I put gasket sealer on the intake to intake. Tomorrow I will rebuild, and clean them
