I was wondering if the 3V 4.6 heads would work on the pre-99 4.6 2V? If so would they bring any more power than the 99-04. I would assume the they wouldn't work because of the 3 valves per cylinder, but I want make sure. Where can you find a set of p&p heads for the 98 GT.

Welcome aboard. You can find used sets of heads on ebay and get them port and polish according to your application. I got a set of 2002 PI heads along with intake and cams for $450 on ebay. Just have to keep looking. Get some long tubes and highflow cats and you will enjoy the ride. what are your current mods?

Well all it has right now is U/D pullies, I'm not sure what kind they came on the car. I was hoping to put an O/R BBK X-pipe and some 3.73 for starters.

to answer your question.......yes in theory you could bolt up the 3v heads to the block. BUT the cost to do this would be pointless, you may as well buy the 3v engine & be done with it. you're best to get the 99-04 heads. www.modularpowerhouse.com has some nice stage 2.5 heads for sale right now

Thanks. Would a different cam make a difference in performance. And also where could I get a Jerry Mod Shift Kit?

I don't think there's a kit for the J-mod. I'm pretty sure you're modifying your existing valve body. http://www.tccoa.com/articles/tranny/index.html#
Modifing Valve Body to Jerry's specifictions is what you want.
