Need more info. What year is it, what car is it in, and is it the stock motor.

There are a few ways to tell.

If you have a 98 or earlier look at the intake manifold. If it takes up all of the valley between the heads then you likely have PI heads unless it was just a PI intake swap. The NPI intake you can house a family of cats under it. Otherwise all 99+ Stangs are PI heads.

Does it have power? What happened to the first 2 motors?!?!?!?!?!

If it came from a 2003 then its PI. The catback (mufflers) have the biggest impact on sound. Does it sound less "mean" than before?

It simply wont sound "mean" with stock mufflers.

yes really the car sounded mean before. the car has flowmaster 40 series welded in. the first 2 motors took beatings from the strip/street!:Track:

Do what was suggested above. If you have to, take a pic of the intake if your not sure. Basically if you can see below it and there is a TON of room, then its a pi intake. Which is a start but no guarantee.
