What's involved in swapping intakes? Is it worth getting the 75mm TB or going with the 70mm? I'm planning on doing a head swap sometime down the line.

personally the only way I would do it is with the livernois kit , and my choice of plenums and TB would be trickflow plenum and bbk TB 75mm

Not bad , havent done it myself but I have looked over my friends 96 and he if ever gets off his a*s and get some money we will do his , I kinda figured on spending a whole day on it just for good measure , might see if we can port the plenum too . not hard just time consuming to double check every thing .

There are several write ups out there for this, you should do a search. There are parts lists and some pretty good tips for the install.

The Livernois kit is rather pricey, I myself just ordered the adapter plates from them. If you don't like to shop around and don't have too many resources to get the additional parts or have a stock hood, the Livernoise kit is the way to go. The adapter plates add 1/2 inch rise in the intake and won't fit under the stock hood. If you use the NPI gasket only with no adapter plates, it will fit but there have been several sealing issues. Either way you decide to go, it's a great mod for us NPI guys.

If you plan on doing a headswap just wait on the intake. The livernios kit is $650. I would go ahead with other mods or start saving and working on the headswap....

It's a great set-up, it just costs. The price of the kit is 650 than you have shipping to add to that. As far as install, I have to say DIY. It's not hard, just time consuming.

yes i will vouch for that. it is very time consuming and you have to rtv the ever living crap out of it. you have all of the stuff and don't have any problems you can do it in about 4-5 hours and this is working steadily.
