pi intake on npi heads question

Is it a big deal to put a pi intake on npi heads. Can this be done with rtv? thanks

yes it can be done. Takes a full day if you are not a gearhead, half if you are. Just take your time and make sure you have all the right stuff.

to my knowledge a pi intake will not work on a non-pi head... they have to match...

Do some searching. People do it all the time. There is a slight mismatch at one corner of the port, but it generally matches very well. You can easily find dyno sheets as well.

This swap is very well documented and you can find information just be searching here or your favorite internet search engine.

(SEE SIG) its simple a little rtv is all you need,

well being a tech at a dealer i see many vehicles with intake leaks that can cause lean codes... ford doesnt make the best intake gaskets and throwing some rtv in there prolly isnt the best idea... but more power to ya if it works....

countless people have done it before, but if the thread maker is weary buy the adapter plates by livernois

you dont put rtv on the intake, you put it on the head, it works perfect, it will work great with those P&P NPI's

as mentioned, there are only two small places that need RTV, and its just the water coolant passages. The intake doesnt need any RTV.

they say 25-30rwhp, but who knows, i put 225rwhp down running rely rich, idk if that is good compared to other NPI's

Already installed the pi cams now just need to slap the intake on
