all in all car still runs strong...but I want to get this ***** figured out!

This may sound odd, but it works. To check for leaks, get a piece of PVC pipe(any pipe will do) about 2 feet long. Put one end to your ear and move the other end along the engine. This will help you listen to one small area rather than the entire engine. I'm almost sure you have a leak along the intake. update....light came on....again...so something is definately causing this to happen..now I just need to figure it out...
First thing I am going to do is check for vacuum leaks, and leaks around the intake as best as I can......if I don't find any smoking gun then I will swap out the o2's for a buddy that has an extra pair laying around....and if that doesn't work then I will probably be forced to redo the swap
I have only seen Dyno numbers that show about 16 - 20 HP gain. However, the boasts of 30 - 35 are said to be from the adapter plates and I'll have my car on the dyno Sat. to see what gains truly come from the plates. In either case, the PI intake is a must do mod for us pre 99 guys that can't afford the entire headswap. You can always get a set of heads and build them up yourself and than slap them in when your ready!! Either way, I say do itmustang90 said:With the swap you could feel alot more low end torque too? You don't wanna know. The guy broke my throttle cable mod on the first pull, so I wasn't able to get WOT. I saw some crazy numbers before it broke than it dropped like a sack of potato's. I swear I saw 238 but they didn't print it out. They ran my car 4 times and all it would hit was 200. So the only thing I could think of was it was becuase the throtle wasn't all the way open. I don't know. Here I am up on the Dyno preparing for dissapointment.LI98GTStang said:Blev, Any update on the dyno?
