**Posting this in here because I need a quick answer, and Tech doesn't get much traffic, if that's OK**

I have a buddy who has a 1995 Thunderbird, 4.6.

I found him a set of Windsor PI heads/cams/valvetrain for a real good price and suggested he nab them for a PI swap.

Money is an issue, and I'm trying to find out what all he will need to do this correctly.

PI intake
PI heads
PI cams

Those are the obvious.

The other thing is, his motor should be a Romeo, correct? Since these heads are Windsors, he will also need Windsor valve covers, and a Windsor timing cover as well, correct?

Or is there any way he can use his Romeo timing cover?

If anyone can shoot me a link, or post up what is needed (odds and ends included if possible), that'd be great... trying to help him out...

He needs a lot more than that for the TBird.

To be honest for the hassle of the PI headswap on a 94 - 95 TBird, he is better off looking for a complete PI engine.

I don't recall everything he is going to need but for starters.

96 - 97 Thunderbird upper intake or aftermarket;
96 - 97 Thunderbird TB or aftermarket;
96 - 97 Thunderbird Throttle Cable( Discontinued part );
96 - 97 Thunderbird Cruise Control Cable( Discontinued part );
96 - 97 Thunderbird EGR Tube( Discontinued part );
96 - 04 Intake Tube( MAF to TB );

TCCoA Forums - Powered by vBulletin is a great forum for those cars and is better equipped to answer the questions regarding that car.

Dang, that is a bit of work in addition to a 'Stang PI swap.

Thank you for taking the time to post that up.

I think for now he is just going to work on the PI intake and possibly do the PI swap later on, but I will relay this information to him.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news.

The PI Intake swap is not as easy as a 96+ TBird or Mustang either. I looked into this swap a bit more because I knew there was parts I was forgetting that he needs. Simply put, the only reusable parts from his 95 4.6L are the fuel injectors, intake manifold gaskets( I recommend PI Intake Manifold gaskets anyway ) and possibly the intake manifold bolts. He will need to find a 96 - 97 4.6L TBird/Cougar donar car as he requires all of the parts that bolt on to the intake manifold from the newer model to make a PI Intake work on his car.
