I'm not sure on the exact number, but it definitely allows for more clearance. I measured it a while back. With new stock motor mounts and an Edelbrock 5.0, the additional clearance was close to 1" +/- 1/8". I tried to clay the spots with the least amount of clearance to the hood (drivers front corner of the plenum and TPS sensor).

If you need exact numbers, I can clay it again.

Can you see how much clearance it gives?

i like that hood for a newer mustang, but i dont really think it goes with the fox body lines... just my .02 cents

x2.

The lines of the raised cowl area do NOT flow with the fox body at all. The back near the cowl looks awkward to me. The shape isn't too bad, but fits the new edge cars a million times better. The heat extractor part looks fine I guess, if thats what you like.

That maroon fox is nice looking, but IMO would look better with a different hood!

I think they are the old MAC chromes. Not for sure, got them from a friend used years ago. He bought them used too...lol. They are at least 10 years old and look almost new.

I know the character lines of the hood don't line up with the cowl at all. In person, the awkwardness btw the hood the cowl really doesn't stand out. I was looking for something subtle and different. Really not a fan of cowl or ram air hoods. I always loved the hood on 03-04 cobra and after looking at a few pics here, was sold on it. Thanks!

It hard to capture the actual surface of this hood in pictures. It really does flow well with the front end in person. Another thing, that bumper is a LRS replacement. After the wreck last year, I was in a bind to get the car on the road again (DD) and had to go with the LRS piece. I can't really pinpoint it, but the LRS bumper does have a different shape that the stocker. Most notably the lower half.

Yup, me too. It was the first thing I noticed when I picked it from the shop. The top half looks correct, minus the "MUSTANG" lettering. Something is amiss with the bottom half.

The body shop said they hard a hard time fitting the bumper. You can kinda see it with the hood open.

I think it seems to flow fine a lot better then most of the cobra r hoods. I see what your saying about the bottom of the bumper it seems like the bottom lip of the bumper is completely different.

EHHHHHH, really depends on the angle. That hood looks really tame in my opinion. Nothing beats the classic look of the cowl. I really need to get a pic of my cowl hood with the louvered cowel extractor....best hood in my opinion.

Is that EXTRACTOR hood proven in test results???????

stykthyn

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.
