I pushed it out of the garage for a bit today, what does everyone think? I've got a ways to go and progress has been slow lately. Power will come from a 306 w/a turbo. So far it has an '03 cobra IRS, 8-point cage, frame connectors and Wilwoods front & rear. All the brake brackets I made at work, and my uncle & I installed the cage. I hope to paint it this spring. Here are some pics:

Thanks! The wheels are Sportmax 962's, they are a cheapie wheel I got off ebay. I made the caps because I didn't like how the others looked. I haven't decided on a color yet, I was thinking a two-tone but I don't know yet. I've had straight line cars only before, they just aren't that fun to drive on the street!

bstrd86 nice car i love the brakes what size brake rotors do you have in the front? also what pads are you running I am still runnning the race pads and they suck on the street but once they heat up O man buckle your seat belt or your going through the window. Also you know wilwood makes brackets (calipers) for our cars right?

Yeah I know they make kits, but I got the calipers for free. They were for a 1.25" thick rotor so I used a c5 vette rotor that I redrilled (this was before I knew about pad shims, lol). They don't make a kit for an IRS though (but Brembo does.) I haven't selected a pad yet, the brakes aren't plumbed and I don't have a m/c yet either.

billison the 99-03 Cobras are IRS equipped. The 03-04's are upgraded with beefier axles and stiffer bushings to help it hold up for the supercharged motor. Since the Cobras are still basically a fox chassis the IRS is almost a bolt in. It has a cradle that bolts in the front where the LCA's were and the rear bolts in where the quad shock brackets were (but you have to drill three additional holes per side).
