Looks very cool! Way better than my stocker sits.
Its funny how much the front wheels are pulled back by the stock suspension designs. Lowering our cars without a K-member really exemplifies how much Ford was off when they built our suspension in when was it...1976?
I want to just slap some lowering springs on my car but being the Karting guru that I am I know that I will not be happy with it. Wade this has nothing to do with what you are doing with your car at all. For me, I push things in the corners way more than I do on the straights. Our cars are almost the complete opposite of what I look for when driving anywhere-whether its on the street or track. For our cars and street driving its generally easy, point and squirt. This Go-karting thing has made me want to add a few extra steps: accelerate, stop, TURN, squirt.
When I look at the write ups on our suspension; its retarded front vs. rear roll center, its K-member hanging lower than its lower a-arms after a 1.75-2in drop and its weak stamped rear suspension arms, blah blah blah - I am less than happy with my overall purchase. Honestly, for what I've spend on my 95 I could have got a Corvette and have been done with it. Acceleration, stopping, turning. I dont need the back seats-neither do most of you guys. Hands down, all done easier than our cars.
Hey atleast there are a few companies that can get us back up to par-Griggs/Maximum Motorsports. For me, I am going to hold out until I can get the stuff I need for what I want to do. Not trying to sell our cars short-even with all the power they make, any LSwhatever has plenty of cubic inches on our 302's to power past/with us. Its tough but I love my 95gts and like all of you, I am going to put the $$ into it to destroy those bowties.
American Iron + American Iron Exteme should be on Speed TV all the time instead of, ahem... not at all.
Just my ranting $.02 - Wade your car looks 100% better!
