Look great! I just did my 01 GT with a pc using meg's 9,7, & 26. What condition was your paint before you started? How much DACP did you apply to the pad? What color pad did you use to apply DACP? How long did you buff an area and did DACP break down into a haze? Sorry for all the questions..

I need one of those cleaning days! I can't seem to get the oxidation off my paint, although I've been told that it's eaten through my clearcoat =( Tell Jeremy to come down here and help a girl out!

The car looks awesome, seems like you learned a lot! Hopefully you'll continue to use the techniques he taught you to keep it looking that nice =)

I'd call the paint in excellent condition...car is not driven in the rain, I spend at least one night a week with the car in the year cleaning the underside of the car if that gives you an idea of its life

Make an X on the pad with both DACP and NXT, easiest way to do it for us amateurs. Use until it's not hazing anymore.

Yellow pad for the DACP, tan pad for the NXT. The maroon pad is for really bad paint issues.

The video showed me that all this time I wasn't staying in an area long enough....slow, steady lines, overlapping 50% each time...I'd have to time it but I'd say an inch a second? If Jeremy sees this maybe he can chime in. Use moderate pressure at first to get it into the paint, but then ease up as you go back over it again and again. The DACP breaks down finer as it goes.

A tip he showed me was that if the DACP is too dry when you try to take it off, rub the pad back and forth against it in straight lines to 're-wet' the area and it will come off much easier.

Amber - I definitely learned more in one day than I have in 20 odd years of playing with cars....I'm not sure Jeremy could be convinced to go to Atlanta though But you could always try!!

Pete's paint was in good condition to start, he had cob web effect that was driving him insane. We use a small amount of DACP on a #8006 pad at a 3.5 setting on the PC. Work the area until the DACP breaks down into a haze. We then toweled it off using an Ultimate Wipe.
