Just in case anyone is wondering, here are pics of different tire widths.

1. 17x8 with 245/45-17 (stock)
2. 17x9 with 285/40-17 (Nitto street radial)
3. 17x10.5 with 315-35-17 (Nitto drag radial)

1. 2. 3.

I tried to make sure I took the pics from the same angle. They aren't perfect, but close!

good idea. some of them are sorta hard to see with the lighting though, maybe its just this monitor.

here is a 235 next to a 315 for another comparison:

That's what I'm running now. It gives it a solid and aggressive look without looking all nodified.

It's hard to see the difference when one tire is not mounted. That's why I posted the three pics above.

I cant fit 315's on my car now. With the current set up and 17x10.5 rims with 275/40's I can barely get my thumb between the tire and exhaust pipe. Maybe when I wear through these tires I'll see what I can do with the pipes.

Here's a couple of Goodyear comparisons...

Before - 245/45 Goodyear gatorbacks on 17 x 8 bullitts

After - 315/35 Goodyear F1 GS-D3 on 17 x 10.5 bullitts

A$$ shot
