Pics of DIY Turbo kits

So I got thinking about making a turbo kit for my car. I was going to run a 150 shot which will be fun an all but off the bottle its gonna be just another 13 second car. I've always wanted a turbo so I think I'm just gonna bite the bullet and do it while the whole car is getting re done. So my question is, does anyone have pics of turbo systems that utilize all the stock accessory brackets and mounts the turbo on the drivers side? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Turns out Im just gonna save the money up and get a B&G Stage one. Its worth the aggravation and I'll know I'll have a clean set up in the end.

i'm gathering parts for my DIY own turbo setup that i will be doin this winter.

overall i am going to have about 2000$ wrapped up in it all (at least in the stuff turbo related that you get in the complete kits) i'm saving myself some cash but i am going to be doing quite a bit of custom fab work. but that doesnt bother me since i weld and fabricate for a living so it doesnt bother me.

and IMO the BG kits and etc are worth it, i havent run a turbo setup on my car. but i have a friend who has some BG headers on his 95 stang and they looks and seem to fit really nice.
and AFAIK the BG kit will work with stock accesories (excluding smog of course)
for the price and the parts you get, i think its a good deal. everyone says their stand up guys and will be there for support if you need it. and even the stage one kit is going to be more than enough to murder your stock block.

If & when I go Turbo it will be a Hellion Turbo kit. You even retain the stock AC
Forget which mag it was in, it was about 2 years ago when they tested the kit. It was a stock looking red LX. STILL had the pony wheels on it. It only had a GT-40 intake & heads with an "E" cam. They had a bullet proof bottom end. It made like 750 to the wheels with only like 15-17psi. It comes with Bassani plumbing for the exhaust.

The hellion kit is nice, but you can do just as good making your own or using the B&G hotside. You can't go wrong either way, just don't cheap out and make it dangerous. Good luck!

You just have to watch out for their dyno numbers...as they can be misleading. I've seen many people apply SAE elevation correction to their dyno numbers...which in the case of a turbo setup is not applicable.

2 years ago they were 4995.00 I havent priced them lately. Not that much for a quality Turbo kit.

The new "Heat" system is 3995. I would go with Hellion but it looks like its going to interfere with my engine bay. B&G is the only one that looks like its going to clear.

Ah, its almost twice as much as others out there. Not saying they arent nice by any means just seems like a waste of money to me.

Twice as much? The price of that new Heat kit is unreal cheap for what you get. Where would you get a quality COMPLETE turbo kit even close to the Hellion for 2grand?

The cheapest quality kit your going to find is B&G's $2750 special. Still, it's closer to $2K than it is to $4K.

After the upgrades (3inch cold side, and black ceramic coated Im going to be spending 3200, I'd like to see pics of the heat system as well to see how thats configured in the engine bay.

No doubt about that but it doesn't use as good of quality stuff as the Hellion does. After installing a B&G kit on my buddies car, I can't say that it fits as well as the hellion does either, that 3.5" DP was a bitch on his car for some reason.

Honestly, I believe it's better to buy something like a turbo kit used than buy one new. As you can see from my sig I have a Hellion kit but I don't have the expensive ass Turbonetics brand turbo, but the MP seems to work fine. Soon to be putting this kit on a 306 with TFS heads I have.

It should be the same as the regular system I thought?

He said 5k no? $2500 or a hair more would get you a b and g kit

Also, consider buying a hot side already made up and doing ebay piping and intercooler. I believe I have about $2200 into my kit everything out the door. Thats with a $700 turbo just so you know.
