I haven't been on this site for a while being that my car hasn't been in possesion so this site would only depress me.

So only some of you may remember me. I posted a poll a while back about the colors I should go with. There is also a

long story on why. More on that at the bottom of this webpage here: http://www.jaybquick.com/91Mustang.htm

BEFORE!

Check out how the stripes done in white pearl change with different angles.

It is red with a white pearl for the stripes. It cost me $10,000. Luckily I only paid half since a car wash wrecked it and I figured fook it, just do it right since I planned on it anyways. Just did it sooner than I planned. Also I didn't want a third coat of paint.

the guy who lived across the street from me paints cars... i seen him at the local 50's Micky D's, he told me he'd do it the same way, any color for 2800.. sounded like a good deal to me... but i dont know what a good deal is... does that sound about right? he takes the hole car apart like in those pics ive seen his work and its really flawless!... he only messed one up but it was his own and he was tryen to do some weird stuff with fading, but solid colors hes never messed up... Does that sound like a good deal? dudes like 50 and hes been doin it for like 30 years..

Oh yeah, I remember some a$$clown jumped a curb and hit a wall right? Well you certainly turned a negative situation into a very positive one for your car. Looks great and keep us posted!

I agree. I only paint bumpers off of cars when I paint. They have fine line tape out nowadays that don't leave tape lines. Fenders would be especially hard to not chip. Fenders are tough to line up, you contantly have to adjust bolts and things like that which always chips the paint around where the head of the bolt is seated.

You just put some tape on the edges and it will protect from chips.

Sounds good. Sometimes those old timers never adjust their prices for the times. They usually love it and have their house paid off so they lose touch of what is really going on. I would look into it.

I usually take the fenders and bumpers off and paint the jambs and all, but to the body painting with everything on the car. But then again, I am not a professional.

However I cannot fathom how somebody would do so a legit prep and paint job, and then put some body panels outside and leave some in.
