I thought the 18's were too much as well... but I just saw them on a white GT this past weekend and they filled the wheel wells perfect. If I didn't just shell out some $$$ for some 17x10 Pony Rs and 315 nitto tires for my notch, I would be on the phone ordering me some

Yea, I agree 18's do fit nice but I dont want to maybe have to hack up his fenders or roll the lip to fit them. 17's will look good enough I guess.

17s will look good, I'm a fan of the 18s though, lol.

Is he going DD or just regular 17x8s all around? They should fit with no issues, just some rack limiters and check the front fender extension, but Im sure you know that already.

Were gonna go 17x8s all the way around with 255's in the front and 275's in the back. I put my 17x8 inch sterns on my car and had no rubbing issues at all. If we have a little bit of trimming needed Im not worried about it but I dont want to put this car together for the guy and have to teach him how to drive it (dont turn the wheel all the way). I just want to have him jump in it and go. He doesn't know much about cars but wants a fast (somewhat) car to tool around in. Oh yea, this is the guys first car he ever had. He showed up in a Cayman S the day we talked to him about what we wanna do with the car. lol He asked me this exact question, "If this was your car what would you do to it?" I told him my suggestions and now its gettin a TKO, 2300 K brake kit, eibach lowering springs, MM full length subframes, MM caster camber plates, etc. And of course its gettin a MAC cat back.

I work at a shop that does strictly classic car restorations. We also sell cars on consignment. We just went through a sticky situation with a couple past employees so now I'm the main body guy. I also do some of the mechanical work. There's another guy I work with that does engine work no body work and there's a highschool kid on hand to help us out here and there and to clean the shop.

We're also working on restoring a 1950 DeSoto Custom that was another guys first car. Its real rotted and gonna be a bear to bring back. Should be getting sent out for blasting by the end of the week. We have a 1952 International Pick Up that were doing a resto on and completely redoing a 66 Corvette Convertible that I'm currently workin on the body. I hate corvettes but my shop is known for working on corvettes so I guess I gotta deal with it. Were also finishing up on a 69 GTO, it sucks coming halfway into other peoples projects cause its hard to figure out what they were doing. The guy who use to work there was a unorganized hack that didn't do anything right and really screwed up alot of things so we're trying to clean everything up and get a new pace going.

We might be getting a 1950 Chevy Ice Cream truck in for a resto, that should be a sick project. I'm pushing to put big wheels and air ride on it.
