Did the wiring convertion on my 87. It has a LB3, Areomotive FPR,Brown tops,Big Vam. Know the turbo is not on the car yet[waiting to put the motor in the car,to cold]. My problem is when i start to go above 3500 rpm's the danm car starts to PING loud, so loud that my girl can hear it beside her when i pass her on the road. Timing is at 12 degr. btdc and fuel is at 20psi at idle and 26 psi at wot. I did unhook my premium wire thinking it was that but no change. Any thought?

You need ~twice that much at idle dude...and it should go up one PSI for each pound of boost as well.

Stock fuel pressure at idle with the vacuum line removed from the regulator is ~38psi for turbo and n/a cars (even use the same regulator).
