Pinging Problem?

I added a SCT tuner to my 2002 GT. When the car is in mid throttle on a hill, my car makes a pinging noise. It is the same noise you get with bad gas. I have added 93 Octane, with no results. Any Ideas???

Dial back the spark advance.

If you've mucked about with the EGR either physically or in the tune, restore its operation.
