bah stop whining, Mustangs are great cars and it could always be worse.

My friend has a early 90's civic that he bought for a reliable car. Now its on its second clutch, something is messed with the engine so it only fires on 3 cylinders and gets horrible gas mileage, it smokes and burns so much oil I was driving behind him and had to slow down because I couldn't see where I was going, his whole exhaust is about an inch off of the ground and scrapes. As if it werent worse enough, We videotaped him jumping a railroad crossing as his car was being shot with roman candles, and the moron who was taping it forgot to press the record button!

I think you've just been driving your car too much so you're picking out all of the squeaks and rattles and ****, try riding in a real ****ty car perhaps haha.

Hell if i were you id take a weekend and pull that sh** down.. put all new gaskets in the motor and get it flushed..

both....at the same time, if u know what ur doin it could easily be done in a weekend...if u dont know what ur doing take it somewhere!

Id take just the tranny out to do it. No need to remove the whole engine to get it done. Whole job can be done in less then 5 hours.

i feel like just saving my money, and getting the other stuff fixed for birtday, christmas, ect. and geting a few grand saved, taking out the engine, having the block bored 30 over, and cleaned up, getting a forged crank rods and pistons and then putting the rest of the junk on with good gaskets all at once. depends on how the leaks do.

this, for close to what you will spend on new forged internals,machine work, and new valves +springs(you probably need them anyway)+labor to remove and install the new assembly. Close to the same price, plus a boost in HP and Tq that will make the car that much more fun to drive and make you say, "Man, I'm glad I didnt sell it" Plus you can probably sell some of the parts that come off of the old block for some money(not much) and recoupe a little of what you'r spending on the other stuff

Try lucas oil stabilizer too. My first stang had an oil leak and i threw that in and it sealed up good.

Before you start replacing seals and gaskets make sure the PCV system is working properly.

Pull out the metal screen element under the rubber PCV valve grommet to make sure it`s not plugged up.Clean it in acetone or buy a new one.

If it`s plugged or restricted,pressure builds up in the crankcase causing oil leaks.

oh really? that could be it. i dont mean to hop on the easiest thing i can, but when i got the car about a year ago, it didnt leak a drop. but now it does, so this could be it. can someone post a pic up of where this is and what it looks like?
