Has anyone tried fitting a pistol grip on a mustang? I think these grips not only look great but they look comfortable too. Has anyone tried one, does it feel good, is it sacrelidge?

Photos much appreciated.

omg! I went through the same thing...I really love how they look etc. After the beatings from a few of my stang buddies..i decided not to put one in. Someone actually told me about one made especially for mustangs. It's pretty much just the same thing made completely of metal. Not as cool but same effect.

Hey , if you like the pistol grip then put one on. Thats one of those things that you can always change back later if you change your mind. This is a great forum for tech advice but we all have our own opinion on what looks good. Ain't no Taliban in this country--- do your own thing!

If you want one then do it....just be aware that pistol grip shifters are a Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge thing from the 60s.

Thanks guys. I found a hurst pistol grip hadle made of what looks like aluminium. Unlike the Doge pistol grip handles, it doesnt have a bend at the base so i would need to get a Hurst shifter stick with a second angle in it so the pistol grip points away from me. I wonder woud the metal handle make your hand sweat, anyone use one?

It works out at a little over $130 for both, which isnt mad money, so i might try it. Even if i dont like it i was thinking of getting one of those hurst shifter sticks with the two bends anyway. Whats the technical term for those shifter sticks anyway?

Hurst pistol grip...

double bend stick

Did i get that right, if i used both of these products would the shifter handle point away from me, towards the front of the car, or did i get is arse ways?
