i thought that the 87 to 92 had forged pistons and the 93 changed to hyper. the reason im asking is that i had a kid try to tell me(argue) that it was 89 to 93 that had the forged pistons and more im thinking about it the more its bothering me. whos the idiot?

93 changed to hypertonic pistons, losing 10 hp.

Yep 93 is when they got the Hypers, you can look at www.mustanggt.org for year to year changes.

from what I understand it didn't lose HP at all, rather ford revised how they rated the hp.
