piston rings install???

ok i got a 302 std size. hasting rings,one ring is square and the other is beveled which one goes on top. and also what is the size is the ring gap to be ? i got around .029 that correct?

my rings had arrows that said which one was the top

ya its a dot not a arrow its been a while but i know the dot goes up it said on the instructions

yep the dot goes up....and of course you know where the oil ring goes....right?

yes the oil ring goes on the wrist pin right? heh heh really tring to find out which ring is the top ring. is it the square shaped ring or beveled ring that goes on top of piston.
