Piston to Valve clearance?

I am thinking of using 1.7:1 RR with the Steeda #19 cam which will increase the lift to .510".
The duration @ .050" is 220* intake 226* exhaust.
Just want to know if there is a piston to valve clearance issue  Anyone using a cam with at least .510" lift on a stock bottom end? Did you have to notch the pistons?

Lift isn't the problem (since max lift occurs when the piston is near the bottom of the stroke). Duration and overlap are what cause problems. I run a custom cam that is more aggressive than a Steeda #19 with 1.7 RR's, and my bottom end is stock. But ideally you should still check PTV clearance for yourself to be sure, since production tolerances can stack up.
