piston to valve clearance

I'm gonna say yes because lift isn't so much the problem with clearance, duration is. But, DO NOT take my word for it or anyone elses. You should always check no matter what anybody tells you.

The valve reliefs may not be wide enough for those larger than stock valves in the heads you are using. Also, what year engine are we talking about...the early to 85 pistons were flat tops with valve reliefs, the 86 was flat top with no valve reliefs, and 87 up was same as 85 with a center dish.

not precisely sure what year engine... im lookin to convert my 88 4 cylinder notch back car to a 5.0 just trying to sort out some of my questions b4 hand had another question in doing the swap what needs to be done regarding the wiring harness and computer. i know ill hafta have the a9l computer but will i have to re pin the harness in the car or will i have to have the complete harness out of the 5.0 car?
