Piston Wear

So i tore apart my engine and low and behold i have a forged 347 stroker kit. but i noticed some wear on my pistons and im wondering it is gonna be an issue or can it be fixed

thats about normal, and i dont see anything to be worried about. if you are freshening up the motor, then go ahead and reuse those pistons.

So I'm being told to buy new pistons and others saying its fine. This will be my first rebuild. Should/can I have them sanded/resurfaced? Also could this be caused by 5.400 rod length. Or something else?

dont touch them with sand paper, you will ruin them. best to do nothing, load up on th elube when you go to reinstall the pistons. as i said that wear is perfectly normal. i have seen far worse damage than that.

The wear to be really concerned with is your block. Make sure the cylinders are not in need of an overbore. If they are, you will have to buy new pistons, or source another block to go back .030 over with.

The cylinder walls do have some wear. Il get you guys a picture. I planned on boring it out to .040 over before I knew I had forged internals.

everything i see is normal and nothing to worry about. just clean everything up and lube properly when reassembling your engine.
