Pitman Arm question

So I'm going an I6 to V8 conversion on my mustang and I am looking at the steering setup. I purchased a steering kit online and it doesn't come with a pitman arm. I am wondering if I can use the original 6cyl pitman arm. I'm not gonna be a happy camper if I can't but I just gotta know. This car is starting to be a royal PITA, that's for sure.

sorry you can't use the 6 cyl pitman arm, you have to buy the one for an 8 cyl. I can tell you because i just changed my suspension about 3 weeks ago and when i ordered everything the sales person told me i was going to need a new pitman arm for the 8 cly, luckly he told me if not then i wouldn't of found out and i would of been messing with the other one.

Yea I just ordered one last night. Thats a pain in my butt thats for sure. Oh well. Those things are expensive though. That and the idler arm were pricey.
