Have ANY of you ever heard of BLACK spray paint ? SPRAY THE BILLET GRILL. A can of $2 flat black or semi gloss black will fix the problem of the billet grill. I've done more mods like this than I can remember. Works great and doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.

Thought about that but don't like the overall "style" of the grill, what can I say, I'm picky

I'm getting a 65 honeycomb grill.

D. If you reply you will get your 7,000th, yes 7K post. I'm surprised with that many posts you actually have any time to do any mods

What can i say, I'm 48 now, married for nearly 30 years My Kid's gone off to the Marines, and the wife's asleep. Yea i still get time to do other stuff, just not as much as I'd like to (money's always been a factor there, most of the time) Started playing with the 331 I pulled out of the Ranger last year. Gonna fix it and run it on my test stand in a week or so. Going to look at a Stang II tomorrow to maybe strip down and put it in. If not, I'll have the fastest, loudest test stand in the neighborhood :SNSign:

Think they're about the same as the Fox cars. I'm not sure if it is one, the woman I talked to said it had a straight six. The Stanf Redbook doesn't list the II's with those, V6 only. I questioned her about it, but she was adamant about the straight six. I'll find out today when I go look at it. Maybe she got the year wrong, but she listed it as a 78.

I'm pretty sure there is a difference between '65 and '66 hood latches and how they attach to the grille, making it difficult to just swap a '65 for a '66. A couple years ago I was looking at getting a billet grille for my '65, and noticed that a lot if not all that I could find at the time would only work on '66, and in researching here I found that the latch is the reason why. Can be done easy enough, just more money to buy the latch assembly.
