Plate work for EGR?

If i took off my egr and made a plate to cover it and put some gasket maker on the back of the plate would this work for taking the egr out? Then wouldnt i just have to plug that vacum line and then thats it?

Also there is 2 coolant lines running to the t/b how do i block these's?

I blocked mine off with a plate, and I never had any problems other than it throwing a code. Definately plug up the vacum line. The 2 coolant lines can either be taken out and put plugs in the solid heater hose, or you can loop the 2 lines by putting a tube in between the two and clamping them on. Also if you use plugs, be sure to clamp them.
