After reading up on everyone's thoughts, I have decided that this thread be a requirement. (watch this get moved to 5.0 Talk)
The 94-95 Specific Forum had always been different in the past, due to the fact that we are a small breed.
We expand all of 2 years, so I think it's suffice to say we all have something very rare in common.
Our small part of Stangnet wasn't just about our cars! It was about us people getting to know one another because all of our posts, both on and off topic, were all right here to be read. It was a small family, a cult of people who shared something in common and were able to expand past the "hey i have something wrong with my car..." talk.
As I hope you can tell, I am highly disgruntled with the concept of this 94-95 'TECH' change... and it is forcing this small family to amalgamate with a completely different crowd. Such decisions should be left with the posters.

Please stop mixing 94-95 car guys topics into the 5.0 Talk.

The change was not necessary and it's going to take a lot of effort from both us and you mods to break these habits of on/off topic posts, which mind you, weren't bad habits to begin with.

If you can bring up a good reason for the change other than "to coincide with the remaining forum layout" I would honestly like to hear it.
We have a good crowd here, and you all know it.

Plus I don't want to see all of my off topic photoshop chops to be moved to 5.0 Talk!!
THEY ARE FOR OUR EYES ONLY!

So please change this back.
Thank you for your time,

Sincerely
Douglas Caldwell

I agree totaly. I am newer here, but I find myself here at least twice a day. Everyone here is great. I love the info, and the occasional funny story or picture

I bought a 94 Cobra and a 95 Gt because this is what I like. SN95 body, 5.0L engine. I could have easily purchased an 03-04 Cobra, but they are everywhere. There is no challenge to make those fast.

I like the idea. Please keep up 94-95 cars together. I like the pre-crash stangnet. Lets get hot - make it happen.

Yeah, the 94-95 population is small enough here so it doesn't get so cluttered with crap like the others (5.0 Talk is a prime example). I just recently started posting here agian in the past few weeks and noticed all the moved threads and what not. What gives?

I can only speculate. I really don't know the reason. I think they are just trying to conform the forums to a typical, identical layout for all chats.

I honestly didn't notice until you guys brought this up, and now it makes a lot more sense. I'm with you guys. I think if one of us posts up something new we've done to our 94-95's it should remain here without being moved. If something's completely out of the blue then maybe, but we're a close bunch in here and it needs to remain that way. There's a reason I'm still under 100 posts on the Corral, and it's because I like it here much better. I hope things lax a bit as there doesn't seem to be many options in 94-95 sites that are decent.

Why is MRaburn Sticky: Keep TALK out of Tech Locked so we can not comment about this issue.

We are a small group 94-95 can't we all just get along.

we all do get along! lol
that's what i don't want changed.
they always lock their threads when they are trying to make a statement, not a request. they don't want questions, they want conformity.

and thanks haulbalz

Change sucks... Many a time I go into talk...But its always Fox stuff 90% of the time so its hard to kinda "fit in" or wanna post when its all Fox related...
I been here since the 94/95 specific started, on our request....I didn't think things were out of order, but evidently someone did??? or there were complaints within our forum??
Chit...I got 20 yrs on most of you guys and I dont have issues with what was being posted by alot of people....sometimes i just read it, chuckle and move on...No big deal....the OT stuff is only a small percentage of the 50-60 guys and chicks... who use it, and that seems to break things up.....

Damn...I was gonna have Caldwell chop some new wheels for me...

It's more about the bs posts then the talking about your car posts. Threads talking about "how much you make" and "gas prices" have nothing to do with any kind of tech. I love to show off pics of my new rollbar or pics of my 418, your going to pay the high gas prices no matter what. For being here sence jan 00 I dont have many posts but i'm the kind of person that reads more than talks. When I first got my 95 in 00 I came here to ask a few questions and I have been here for over 5 years learning and trading my experinces. I wouldent have done what I have with my car without this fourm.

Agreed, change it back to a 94-95 specific. In fact, if you have to have a separate Tech and Talk section, then give us a 94-95 Tech and 94-95 Talk section. That would satisfy whatever purpose there is behind ramming us round pegs into this square hole, and preserves the community that has developed on this site around our model years.

And if there are others (beyond bjl95mustang) who think the current set up is the right one, PLEASE POST YOUR THOUGHTS. No one else is towing that line. The overwhelming concensus supports a 94-95 post subforum. So why leave it the way it is (to piss us off so we leave?)?
