HEEELLLLPPPPPP!!!! need to open hood.
ok this is going to sound sooo weird, but its been the worse night of my life. OK, so today i broke the key for my car in the ignition, the part that stayed in the ignition was good enough to start the car so i left it there until i could have a new one made. so at work i leave the lights on and my battery is drained. now i have no key to open the door and get to the hood latch and no battery so the remote doesnt work! I need to get the hood open and charge the battery so i can open the door or get in the door so i can pop the hood and charge the battery! PLEASE! does anyone know any trick to open the hood from the outside or get inside the car any other way? BTW doors and windows are locked and up.

God this ****ing car has been nothing but a headache since i bought it! if i ever get this thing open im so selling it!

I'd call up a ford dealer. Or call the police to come jimmy the lock.

Or just slip a coat hanger down the window sill and do it yourself. I've seen it done in the movies so it's gotta be possible.

AAA or towing company to slim jim the door open. But of course thats not a free option...unless you are a AAA member!

Ive gotten into mine before with a coat hanger, its easier to bend it towards the inside of the car a little on the end because the door is so fat it just took some patience and i could only get the passenger door for some reason??? Good luck.

you can lay under the front bumper and stick your hand up to the latch and unlatch it like that. I've had to do it many times in other cars.

Its not your cars fault you left the lights on while locking car while your ignition key snapped off inside.

Exactly. If you go the coathanger route you can make a mess of the window seal. If you want to spend the money on a towtruck with a slimjim or something like that go for it but if you just want under the hood, you can do it form under the car.

thanx i did that and it worked. Also the reason i dont have a spare is that i bought the car a few moths ago used and didnt get one and was procratinating on having one made. I broke the key because right where the teeth start it is very thin by design, it blew my mind too...but it was possible.
The comment about selling the car was me just blowing off some steam, ive owned this car like 6 months and have had nothing but headaches with it. Nothing ever major (well except for a blown tranny) just one little thing after another. it never seems to end. well, i learned my lesson. had 2 extra keys and an extra remote made.....endd up costing me $150 just cuz i was a dumbass.

Actually I broke my key off in the ignition in my old car 93 dodge shadow vert baby! I couldnt get the key out myself, so I took it to a shop and they got it out, good thing I had a spare key laying around. Either way, its not that hard to do if its an old key, or poor design.
