Please help, baffled.....

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to tighten or remove the cigarette lighter in the console of my 89 Coupe, please help

Does anyone have a solution to stop the e-brake handle from rattling due to exhaust tones at around 2K rpms :notnice:

Also my clutch pedal/mechanism makes two quick click sounds when I'm releasing it, anyone know what that typically is :bang:

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

dont know about the cigarette lighter....try taking out the console and looking at it from underneath. that noise from the e-brake is absolutely annoying...i also get a squeaking from the passenger side somewhere on a rough road. i get the clicking too....always when i push the clutch in

With the Lighter I'm sure you have to remove the console to take it out.... I think its a push-in and there is a clip on the other side..... as for the clutch click, could be a sign there is a break in your clutch cable friends 92gt started doing that.... about 4 months later the cable grenaded...... not sure if that info will help but I figured I would throw it out there anyways ;)

I had the e-brake rattle. I just turned the little button u push toward me (like it was a screw) mine stopped rattling. Give it a try might work.

I would say the plastic clutch quad breaking.(maybe?)

Hope this stuff helps.

Thanks for the input everyone.

I had the console off and couldn't figure it(lighter) out, thought maybe someone might have done it b4

Its not the neutral safety switch, I pushed it in/out independently(without depressing the clutch) and it was quiet.....seems like a bushing or something in the pivot assembly  I was hopin' someone has disassembled theirs b4 and could give me some insight. :bang:

I put a BBK/Gripp adjustable cable/quadrant on it about 6 months ago. It has a stiff pressure plate ie pedal effort.....maybe previous owner put the HD FRPP set in it and the added stress has worn a bushing in the pedal assembly??

Thanks again for the responses.
