PLEASE help i have a serious problem!!!!!

Ok, the past 2 nights my car has not started for me. It starts and i have driven it to work (15 min) but after i kill it, it will not start again. It smells terribly like gas so i am PRETTY sure its flooding out somehow. It runs good besides that though. There are several weird things that seem related to this problem though. For the past year it has made terrible popping noises at low rpm's mostly when its cold. I THINK that was from it running lean. Now since this problem has started it hasnt made any popping noises at all. Runs good actually. The only thing i have done to the car recently is taken the oxygen sensors out and cleaned them. Could this have anything to do with it? I've tried the eec test but it will not work for me. I cant use check engine light because bulb has been removed. But the test light i use for the eec test wont fluctuate. What i mean is that the light steadily stays on and will not flash as if its giving a code. So unless someone would give me a COMPLETE walkthrough of how to do it (incase i'm doing something wrong) then that is outta the question. BTW the websites showing how to do the test arent helping at all as i have both saved on my computer. What i really think is that my computer finally realized the car was running lean after i played around with the eec test and tried to fix it. I dont know how it couldnt have caught the problem instantly but maybe something is wrong with the computer. Could it be leaky injector? Fuel pressure regulator? The car is getting spark and turns over but it just wont start UNLESS it has set at least 4 hours. Please help me!!

It would be very easy to misconnect the jumper for the ECC test. here's the sites that I recommend to help get you jumpered correctly:

Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.

The middle link is very good with his description of the test proceedure & test connector.

If after checking your efforts to get codes and are still not sucessful, repost and we can start looking for wiring problems in the signal ground circuit for the computer.
