Hey all, I have an explorer intake. I think the previous owner just unplugged the ACT sensor instead of re-installing. I am going to megasquirt my car this weekend but I need to locate the pigtail for the ACT sensor. All of the diagrams I find show different color wires than I have on the lead I think is the ACT. Can anyone confirm for me what the green blk and black grey wire lead is for? My car is an 89 lx FYI

The following are diagrams courtesy of Tmoss & Stang&2birds

Use a Multimeter or DVM to check the continuity between the wire on the sensor and the pin on the computer. Adding a few feet of extra wire won't make more than 1Ω to 2Ω difference, not enough to invalidate your results. When you have continuity between the sensor wire and the computer, a good quality meter will usually beep. If you have the el cheapo version, you watch the meter scale for a reading less that 5Ω.

See the following website for some help from Tmoss (diagram designer) & Stang&2Birds (website host) for help on 88-95 wiring; http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/ Everyone should bookmark this site.
