I need someone to look at your battery and tell me if your indicator is green or red. My battery was dead today but no lights etc were left on. Car has sat for about a month. Jumped started and now it starts up strong. My light is red. Looked at friends expedition battery and his is green. PLease help quick my warranty is up in 2 days. its a 2001 cobra with 4700 miles if that helps

The batteries are not designed to be serviced. When green they are good, when red they are bad. You can charge it and recharge it but it will most likely continue to give you problems. Probably has a dead cell. I just replaced mine for the same reason after charging it all the time. My problem is the car sits for long periods of time, so I bought a yellow top optima, deep cycle. no more problems.

thanks for the reply. i took my car to ford and they replaced the battery. In and out in half an hour. Thats all i wanted to know, if green was good and red was bad. Just trying to save myself a trip. It has been red for as long as i can remember but the car always started fine so i never paid attention.
