Ok, before anybody gets mad and tells me to go to the website w/ sound clips, i dont have speakers on my computer.

I am trying to decide between an Mac o/r h pipe, Dr. Gas o/r x pipe, and Mac Pro Chamber. I really liked the sound the h pipe on my last car sounded (bbk fit like crap-will not buy again). The mufflers willbe 40 series flow's (personal preference). Can anyone please describe the types of sound I will get from these? I have never heard any of them before so I dont have a clue
Thanks in advance for any help

yeah the websites have terrible quality anyways. when i was looking for one, i just said f*** it because the sound was soooo bad. anyways, i just got an off road prochamber with american thunder cat back. i think it sounds pretty good. it's actually kind of quiet. i say the pro chamber.

You been to Don Johns website in my sig? Mustangexhaust sucks...but his website is killer Either way, computer clips only get you in the neighborhood...sound is something u have gotta hear in person.

H-deep sound and sounds "rougher"

X-Smooth sound, not as deep in the low rpm's as a H, screams at a higher pitch than a h at WOT

Pro-Seems to be a mix between the two. Deeper than a x down low but seems to scream sorta like a X at wot. People mention some kind of "whirling" sound coming from the "box".

I wanted a prochamber but for a 3" for long tubes headers, its expensive as HELL. I remembered that i saw Flowmaster's D-Pipe and was interested in it. So i researched it some more, found that pratically no one had one. Saw it was only $160 at Summit so i got it. I couldnt be happier. It rumbles and is deep like a h pipe, but at WOT is doesnt scream, it ROARS . Its like the Dr. Gas that you have to get it welded together but its worth it in my opinion. I will never own a different midpipe...especially for the price. I just love the sound soo much paired with my spintech sportsmans...i imagine with flows it would be just as good.

Here

I cant find my own personal pics. This doesnt show the crossover too well. The exhaust is not directed to the other side of the bank...like with a x pipe. Instead, it is allowed to flow straight back and the metal wall inbetween each pipe is open allowing them to equalize the pressure. Its like a mix of a h and x pipe. The downfall to some x-pipes is that you have to be careful of teh design of the crossover pipe so that it doesnt hurt flow. H-pipes, like this d-pipe, are idiot proof. Run two pipes back and equalize them without disturbing the flow.

I love my X pipe, nice and mellow at idle, but absolutely SCREAMS at WOT, while still sounding smooth accross the whole rpm range.

Dr. Gas X all the way. I absolutely loved mine. Sounded amazing. Sold it now cause of my turbo, but I was VERY happy with it. Plus its unique. That paired with my spintech has made numerous people tell me my car sounded amazing. In the end you really cant go wrong. 90% of mustangs sound "good" its just how good.
