First sign of trouble was when I shifted into 3rd at the track and the car bogged down on me for a couple seconds. I parked it and looked for problems and found none. I made another pass and the car seemed fine. The next time I drove the car, from idle to about 1800 rpm the car seemed very weak and sputtered a little, but drove fine above 2000 rpm. Tim (MPH)told me to change the plugs. I did and the problem was still there. I went to the track again and then the problem went away for a couple days and then came back. It seems to be worse when the car is cold. If I goose the gas a little when it's cold it wants to stall but does'nt. On the way to work today it ran like crap under 2000 rpm, but when I went to lunch it was ok again. It idles fine, its when you give it gas it feels crappy. I plugged in my sct and there are'nt any codes. Would it tell me if one of the cops were bad or are you suppose to have the car running with it plugged in? I cleaned the IAC with carb cleaner and the problem is still there. The idle is now starting to bounce around below 500 rpms when its cold sometimes. Once the car is warm it runs OK. help

You should be able to pull the codes with the car either on or with the key in the on position. There might be some stored in the ECU and maybe that haven't triggered your CEL yet. All of your hoses and piping from your blower are still doing ok? You might have blown something off with your trips down the track, or got something on your MAF.
Start with the small things first, like MAF and fuel filter since you already cleaned your IAC...and check all of your hoses for any minute leaks too.

It sounds like you may have a fuel delivery issue. Get a scan tool on it (or a fuel pressure gauge) and check the fuel pressure as you drive around, hopefully during an episode where it's running like ****.

I have a focus svt pump. I don't think it's the fuel pump because it goes away when the car warms up.

Are you racing cold?
I here what your saying. After that happened at the track that was when I started to notice the problem under 2000 rpms. In the 3 months since It bogged at the track it has never had a problem above 2000 rpms. I have zero problems above 2000 rpms. That's why I'm not to concerned about fuel. I would think if I had a fuel problem it would show up throughout the rpm range.
