Where the hell is the OBDII Connection port for testing? On my old '90 t-bird it was on the passenger side engine compartment, is it still there or behidn the dash somewhere? Pictures would be appreciated. Thanks.

To the right of the steering column, just above the carpet and just behind the center console trim.

Do they give me the scanner to borrow or do I have to wait for someone to come out and hook it up??

how bout you stop posting in 2 different threads with the same question (cross-posting), and yea - they'll hook it up, not let you take something.

They actually started out as two different questions, that is why. Sorry if I have offended you???? As as regards to Autozone I thought I read that you just had to give them your Driver's License or somethign to borrow the code reader for a minute. I know that they will not just hand it to you, I'm not a friggin moron. But thank you for your oh so helpful post.

This would be a most excellent time to buy that flash tuner you've always wanted. It will read and clear DTCs and you'll already be prepared for when you change your rear gears.

Ok so I got the code read, it was P0401 - EGR Flow Insufficient Detected
That was the only code that showed up. Now why do I think that this is the DPFE Sensor (which went bad once already at 5,000 miles), now 33,000 miles later why do I have a feeling its bad. Also, would this cause my "diesling" or "rattling" noise? Anyone have any hints or help for me? If this wouldn't cause the noise I guess its an exhaust leak, but it only makes the "noise" when the engine is under load. If i put it in park or neutral it wont do it, but if I go to power brake it, it will. Please Help.

So did they look at your drivers license and loan you your magical code reader?
