Hi all,Just came back from Billings MT to Oregon and got 25.6 doing 80-85 most of the way.............Going to Billings MT I got 26.3 doing the speed limit wich was a posted 75mph,Our trip one way was 1166 miles and took 19 hours straight.
07 gt manual.
Sitting at a red light the other day a V6 pulled up to me and the driver asked what my MPG was... he about barfed when I told him. I'm averaging 23mpg since I got the car (city, granted not as congested of a city as a lot of you guys) and as high as 26 full highway. I'm getting a little less than my '00 V6 used to get (24-26 city) and actually better than my '07 V6 got (22).
Got into upstate NY earlier from DC...hills, mountains, fog, rain, traffic, some stop-n-go. First tank of gas 13.5 gallons on 312.4 miles: 23mpg. Still on my second.
IMatt, I get about the same that you do with my 2007 GT. On occasion I will get 14 around town, but that's about the best it will do. I can get 26 on the road.
I had a 2005 V-6 and I can truthfully say it would not do any better than my GT on the road and about the same in town.
If it would do better in town, I would love it. Road mileage I cannot complain about. My wife's Focus gets 34-36 on the road, averages about 24. I have more fun in the Mustang.
All of these are realistic figures. I teach at a university and while the male students all love my car, it is hard to convince them to go green while driving a Mustang.
3.73 gears no mods with 1900 total miles using regular gas computer shows 18.1 on mixed driving. Took a 260 mile trip filling before and after driving 70 to 75 mph most of the time and averaged 25.3.
Well we just bought the pre loved 2005 GT conv 5 speed menual..hahaha she cant drive a stick. opps teach me..OUCH. now I cant find it..lol.
Well back to the post.. Me 52y/o male hwy mpg is 26 to 28.. Wife ..27 y/o Firey redhead...18 to 15 mpg lol
Averages over the last year driving my 06 GT with CA and Brenspeed 91 tune the way it was meant to be driven
Heavy stop n go 13.5
Mixed 17.5
Highway 24
I've driven my 2005 Mustang GT to work for 5 years; 60 mile round trip. It has about 65,000 miles on it. Combo driving, city/rural, I get about 23.5-25 ave. I seem to get less on a warm summer day when the sun is shining and the lights are turning green! (About 16-17, on those days!) I'm glad it gets decent mileage... but, that's NOT what I bought it for!!
My 05 GT manual with 56k on the clock, with my 91 race tune I get 17 city, and 22 highway. With my 91 Torque tune I get 18 city and 21 highway... I gain one in the city and lose one on the highway.... Go figure....
