Please VOTE for the FOTM rules

These are the rules for FOTM. http://forums.stangnet.com/759233-fotm-voting-rules-regulations-fotm-archives.html They have been posted since I took FOTM over from Turkey Sammich.

I think they are fair. We NEED a concrete set of rules no matter WHO is running it.

Please vote on these rules. Are they fair or not? Please post your reasons and be respectful about it.

I only voted "No" because I think it needs to be a rule that the nominees are notified via PM and possibly email. Just nominating and hoping the owner will notice is not enough, and I think it is for that reason the picture turnout sucked this month.

It is NOT to much to ask for interior and engine bay shots, providing the owner is aware they are up for nomination.

In the event that an owner cannot be reached and no one else can provide sufficient images then I think the car should not qualify.

Very good point and that can be added as a rule. . When I was running it, I did PM the nominees for pictures.

I didn't even know that I won May FOTM until September or October. I went into the thread and I did NOT have interior or engine bay shots at the time and I won.

We Stangnetters can tell if a fox is nice without seeing under the hood and interior, BUT every single month is a tough vote. Seeing all 3 pics does justify voting for one car versus the other.

I vote that we need all three pics and the rules stay the same.

Another good reason why rule #4 should be updated.

Old:
4. If you make a nomination, you are responsible for posting pics IN THE SAME POST YOU MADE THE NOMINATION.

New:
4. If you make a nomination, you are responsible for posting pics IN THE SAME POST YOU MADE THE NOMINATION. You are also responsible for notifying the one you nominate so they can have a fair chance of taking and posting the required pics.

Current rules are fair. It allows for a much better impression of the overall package. I also agree with the rule #4 update.

IDK, I run the SOTM in 4.6talk and it is annoying when I have to look for pics of the rides nominated but I still do it for the boys. Its a nice feeling to have your car win and a nice Stang is a nice Stang even if they dont have an interior shot or an engine shot
If others have a problem with it then dont vote for that car. I show three pics of each car during the poll of whatever I have avaliable. Its not like we are giving away anything other then recognition anyway.

EDIT: I am all for the update of rule #4 though. Its not always easy for me to notify every person thats been nominated. I usually only do if I dont have any shots of their car.

The one running the poll should not have to do all the dirty work.

I agree with NOT running 2 polls, not needed, 1 poll should do it.

Nothing like winning 1 poll then losing the second....kinda defeats the purpose.

I also saw that I was nominated in the other nomination thread, but was under the impression the person that nominated me had to supply more pics of my car. Well that didn't happen so I didn't make this round. I would have posted them but wasn't sure if I was or he was supposed to.

Other then that, it seems fine and fair to me.

EDIT....LOL just saw the poll and i am in there..ooops..LOL
