OK, so I've narrowed my choices down to the following:

Accufab Plenum / Accufab 70mm TB - $435 (incl. s & h) www.rpmoutlet.com

C & L Plenum / Accufab 75mm TB - $375 (inc. s & h) www.rpmoutlet.com

C & L Plenum / BBK 75mm TB - $357 (inc. s & h) Brothers Performance

I am assuming/expecting that each of these combos will make similar power. However, how does the quality compare between all of these combos? In particular, I'm wondering if the Accufab 75mm TB is worth the extra $18. Yes, it's polished but I really don't care how pretty it is. I'm only concerned about quality of workmanship and if there is any difference between the two.

Any thoughts/advice on people who own one of these combos? And please let me know if you see any better pricing out there. I'm definitely leaning towards the cheapest option so long as everyone's general opinion is that the quality is there for all three options.

i got my C & L Plenum and Accufab 75mm TB through Ronnie Diaz Motorsports. the total cost was 387.95 shipped. the plus of going through him is that you get top notch customer service and help. but anyways, the reason i got the 75mm TB is because i'll be eventually supercharging the car.

I personally went with the FRPP 70mm TB because I have always trusted "Ford" parts. I also went with the Ben Alameda Racing ported intake plenum, you gain the power of the Accufab or C&L but retain the stock look, whether to be a sleeper or to not void your warranty. The plenum was $230 shipped, but there is a $60 core refund if you send them your stock 03'-04' plenum. [email protected]

i would suggest ronnie diaz too but he got pissed at me for telling people his prices over the net. that was my bad and i didn't know.

Well, you can call www.mustangtuning.com and say that Chris said $380 shipped for Accufab 70mm TB and Accufab Plenum.. :nice:

I did a test on the Dragon/Accufab/C&L plenum with an Accufab 70mm TB, and the results were posted in an article on www.modulardepot.com

I'm about to do another test with the Dragon/Trick Flow/C&L and Accufab with a 75mm Accufab TB this coming week, probably on Monday.

I'll get the word out as to the results.

SWEET!!! I've been wondering how the Trickflow unit stacks up against the others. My guess is that it will do very well - they've been making intakes for the 5.0 crowd for a long time. Now if they'd just come out with an upper/lower intake combo!

Excellent! I may have to wait on my purchase so I can check out your test results. Please do post!!!

Then again, I'm certain the Accufab combo is quality, and if I can truly get it for $380, well, I'm almost sold. Thanks for the info KappaBall!

i just quoted the price off his site

i guess my and our point is that you don't have to buy from a huge supplier to get great service and great prices. i bought my mach 1 chin spoiler from mustangtuning.com and i know i'll be shopping there in the future.

I can't find the plenum/TB on www.mustangtuning.com for $380. Can you send me a link to what you just looked at? Maybe I'm missing something . . .

I recently installed the TrickFlow Plenum. I already had a BBK 70mmTB but it seems like since I installed the TrickFlow I lost some low end grunt.. This is just observation since I haven't had it dyno'd for any real numbers but it's something to keep in mind.. Also with the Trickflow plenum the bracket that holds the accel cable and stuff that was mounted on top of the stock unit doesn't fit up there on the Trickflow.

Acutally it's sturdy on it's own so I just left it there.. It doesn't move at all even though it's not bolted to anything.. Also the hose that connects to the backside of the stock plenums fitting is a little too small for the brass fitting they give you with the Trickflow model.. You will either have to slice a small cut into the end of it and really work it onto the fitting or you'll need to replace the hose with a slightly bigger one..
