I can't seem to do a search on the forums, so forgive me for what is probably a topic that's been beaten to death already - but I am trying to figure out what to do next on my car.
If I were to upgrade to a plenum/TB combo, e.g. Accufab, C&L, etc., I have two questions:
1) Can I still run 87 octane without any worries about leaning out the fuel curve (I assume yes, because the mass air sensor should sense the additional air and adjust the fuel curve)?
2) Do I need a custom tune to get the most out of this?
BTW, I just removed my K&N FIPK - my MAF was contaminated (even after I cleaned it), and although the K&N may not have been at fault (the car does have 74k on it, after all) I wanted to be safe. So we're talking completely stock setup save for the plenum/TB.
