I have an indash 7" screen now that blocks the hvac when I open it, its a bit annoying but nothing that would cause me to relocate the unit.

Have any pictures of that?

So, with something like that does it fit in the origonal slot for the radio or do you need to do some fabrication?

If you're replacing your radio, a 7" motorized/retractable screen will fit snugly in a standard DIN socket. If you're doing my plan and keeping the radio, then you'd need a custom mounting bracket that would hold both the radio and the screen.
