I am scared to death about shooting plugs out of the heads and from what I've heard, the NGK's have less threads than that of the OEM Motorcrafts. This makes me really apprehensive about buying the NGK's
The problem is the number of threads in the cylinder head casting, not the number of threads on the plug itself. Just torque the plugs correctly and go back after a tank of gas has run through it again and make sure they're still tight.
You won't notice any difference running NGK or Motocraft parts. As noted, stick with the stock gap. You only really need to close the gap down some if you're running nitrous or a blower.
